International Trail Challenge victory for Jake O’ReganJake O’Regan (St. John’s Clare) won the international Great Trail Challenge in Keswick England today. O’Regan has been making significant progress in cross-country and track running and is now showing his prowess on the hills. He had 25 seconds to spare over Welsh runner Joshua Griffiths. Sarah McCormack (Clonliffe) was a close runner up in the women’s race finishing 11 seconds behind the winner Rebecca Robinson. Brian MacMahon (Clonliffe) battled well for third position in the senior men’s race behind Steve Vernon (Eng) and Andi Jones. The junior and senior Irish women’s teams both placed second while the two men’s teams were third.
