League race - Preliminary report by Douglas Barry
Paul Nolan continued on his winning ways on Bray Head with an easy win over Gerry Brady and another 80 plus runners. The heavens opened just after the field left the line and thoroughly drenched everybody. Normally, a couple of the highlights of this race are the sweeping views over the Irish Sea towards Wales and the swim afterwards in that very same Irish Sea. However, on this occasion, such a deluge descended on the runners that people thought that the Irish Sea had fallen on them. When they looked up to check, they couldn't see through the water. Fuller Report later.
