2002 Races
Doon race - Brief report by Douglas Barry
Sean Twomey had an easy win in the opening race of the 2002 Munster Championship. The Irish international easily saw off the rest of the field in this the first of the seven race series and comfortably led in local Bilboa runner Tom Blackburn. Blackburn edged out former junior international Ross Alexander for second place.
The women's race saw a close battle for honours with Coolquill's Kay White successfully fending off the attentions of Newmarket's Miriam Feehan. The junior category went to Kerry's junior international James Doran.
