Lots of IMRA runners out in force in the national half-marathon in Waterford. Owen Gahan (St. Senans), a member of the 2007 World Trophy team and recent winner of the Warriors run, was 4th in 69.41. Ciaran Doherty (Letterkenny) who was 7th in the 2008 World Trophy trial was 22nd in 73.11. Keith Ryan (Limerick, 75.07), Eoin McKenna (Riocht, 75.15), Padraig MacCriostail (Rathfarnham, 75.33), Aenghus Burke (North Laois, 75.35), John Farrelly (Rathfarnham, 75.55), Adriele Prina Mello (Crusaders, 76.06), Niall Coppinger (Tallaght, 76.08), Derek Coogan (North Laois, 76.37), PJ Carroll (North Laois, 78.12), Turlough Conway (Rathfarnham, 78.23), and Shane ORourke (Crusaders, 79.05) all ran well.

In the womens race Aoife Joyce (Crusaders, 94.39), Mary Jennings (Waterford, 94.44) and Rachel Walters (Crusaders, 105.54) all were prominent.
