The British and Irish Junior International Mountain Running Championships were held in Abergavenny,Wales last weekend. Please follow this link to the Welsh Athletics Website to view the full results. If the link doesn\'t work just google Welsh Athletics.

The Under 14 Boys and Girls ran 2.7k with a 200 meter climb.
The Under 16 Boys an Girls ran 5.2k with a 297 meter climb.
The Under 18 Boys and Girls ran 6.7k with a 297 meter climb.

I would like to congratulate Michelle Finn,University of Limerick, on a superb 2nd place in the Under 18 Girls race and with Michelle Twohig,University of Limerick coming 8th, Elma Nugent,Ard Scoil na nDeise 14th and Becky Hand,Doonen AC 15th they won the Team Bronze Medal.

The Under 16 Boys Andrew Ross,Maria Immaculata CC,Emmet Jennings,Oatlands College,John Harrington,Maria Immaculata CC and Michael Dowling,West Wicklow AC all kept their form and won the Team Bronze Medal.

Unfortunately it just didn\'t work out for the Under 18 Boys and Under 16 Girls but one to watch for the future is Simon Drumm,St.Peters,Dunboyne who finished a great 4th by just one second in the Under 14 Boys race.
