Mount Claragh was run in Millstreet this year on a dry bright spring evening.The run was led out by Eoin Mc Kenna followed by John Lenihan ,Ross Alaxander,Tom Blackburn and Declan Doyle.Before the main climb positions began to change Tom Blackburn moveing to third. Towards the end of the climb Declan Doyle had moved to third and opened a gap. Eoin Mc Kenna seemed to be comfortable in front as the race headed up past the mast, but at the turning point John lenihan was in the lead. Mc Kenna chasing now,as the race hit the main decent Lenihan and Mc Kenna locked horns to do battle, the lead changing hands three or four times on their way to the finish Eoin just manageing to get away in the last hundred meters.
