The small town of Lanzada in the Province of Sondrio hosted this years International U18 Cup
The race started in the narrow town centre it narrowed again after 200mtrs
round the local church before it turned a sharp right through some ancient ruins
there was a lot of jostling for places before the race headed out on to the single mountain track It was a fairly technical coarse If you had not got your place early on in the race it was hard to pass It was Aoifey Coffeys first international race and she performed very well lots to look forward to come. from her.Luke Maher also a good candidate for the future got stuck at the start but had a solid international debut. Mathew Kelly ran well but needs more mountain running experience which I think he will take too.Ryan Hogg went over on his ankle on the first lap and struggled to finish
Northern Ireland boys had there highest placing for years finishing 4th team
with two of their team competing for us at the Europeans looking good for the future
