Kippure - Preliminary report by Douglas Barry
George Lonergan continued his winning streak in his build up to the Irish Team selection trials at Glounageenty with his third win in three outings. Over the fast Kippure course, Emma Sokell also got back into winning form ahead of Eva Mulleady in this race - the final Wednesday evening one. Despite this race signalling the offical end of the 2001 summer as the shortening evenings curtail the night races, mountain races continue as stong as ever at the weekends. So get out there!!
