Niall Enright | May 17 2010, 10:16am | We'll be in Murroe Co. Limerick for this Wednesday's hill-run. Directions: take the Dublin road from Limerick; after Annacotty take a right turn signposted for Murroe/Cappamore. We'll meet in the car park outside Croker's pub in Murroe at 7pm. This run is the second of our IMRA series of 8 hill-runs. If you do want to take part in the IMRA series please arrive at the car-park at Crokers before 7.30pm to allow us time to register and issue race numbers. If you did the race at the Clare Glens two weeks ago you'll be using the same number but will still have to register. If you didn't do the last race you can still join the series at this point. The run itself is a steady uphill climb for the first two miles after which the track levels out and wanders around the top of the hill, before going through a rutted marshy section. The trail improves at the end of the marsh when you swing to the right and back onto solid ground. After about 300 metres you'll hit a T-junction. Going left at this point takes you back to the cars. This will give a total length of run of about 8km with about 180 metres of height gain. See you all on Wednesday, Niall. |
