With the students returning to college over the next few weeks and the College Champs coming up on 28 Sept. We are keen to reach out to as many possible competitors as possible. We have good contacts in UCD, TCD, UCC and IUAA. If anyone has contacts in other places that we could follow up please let us know.
Thanks for your help.
Mike

The race is still 3 weeks off but we are looking for one or two more volunteers
We do not need many volunteers as the race will not have a big field.
In particular we need someone to do first aid.
Let us know if you can help or havve nay queries.
Thanks
Mike

Entries for this race are now open. We realise some students may have difficulties getting to the race - but do not let that put you off. Come back to us and we will do our best to arrange a lift.
Thanks
Mike

Looking forward to seeing everyone who has entered at the College Champs Saturday.
The venue assembly / registration / prize giving will be the Upper Lake Car park Glendalough.
Please note there is a €5 parking fee.
To avoid this you could park for free at new car park near Derrybawn House and jog up the green road or park there and car pool up and share the cost.
Take care
Mike
Catriona EdingtonSep 28 2024, 11:00amURGENT: Hi could anyone from the OC let us know where to meet, we have quite a few from Belfast wondering round the car park getting a bit stressed as they’re don’t know where to go and they wanted to collect numbers in time for a warm up - where exactly in the car park is the meeting point? Many thanks
Laura FlynnSep 28 2024, 11:13amYou make be in the wrong car park Catriona. It’s the UPPER car park near the UPPER lake not the car park near the hotel.
Call me if you’re still confused 0eight seven 74two07nine5

Small numbers but competitive race in super conditions at Glendalough today.
Really nice vibe. A pleasure to work with such a great group of young people.
Caitriona Eddington (QUB) took the ladies title with a very strong run (4th overall) and Eoghan Whelan (UCD) used his orienteering experience to take the win in the mens with a fast downhill section. UCD and Queens took the ladies and mens team titles.
Full results will follow.
It was the first time we welcomed a team from QUB, which was fantastic. Hope it is the first of many.
Special thanks to a great team of volunteers Leo, Graham, Gerry, Stephen, Niamh, Kathryn and to Lillian and Liam for thier support
