| Rene Borg | Apr 21 2010, 6:22pm | Hi Johnny, only some of the Leinster League races take place in Dublin, the majority take place in Wicklow. The Dublin-based this year are: Hellfire and Brimstone, Fairy Chase, Tibradden, and Howth (tonight). The Sugarloaf race is just next to the N11 so pretty close and Prince William's Seat is North Wicklow as well, so may or may not suit you. |
| Rene Borg | Apr 21 2010, 6:26pm | Actually, just to be pedantic with myself, Prince William's Seat is part of the Dublin Mountains, but part of the mountain and the race are in Wicklow and getting there takes a bit longer than going to the nearer Dublin Mountains. In general the names to look out for currently to catch the Dublin races are: Kilmashogue, Ticknock, Three-Rock, Tibradden, Fairy Castle, Cruagh, Hellfire, Howth, and Scalp. Other races have come and gone (Stepaside, Bluelight) but they more or less traverse the same collection of hills. The long race "The Dublin Peaks" is also in county Dublin but depending on whether you're new to the sport it may be a bit daunting to start with. |
