Gerry Brady | Aug 13 2015, 6:02pm | Preliminary information is on IMRA web page. For anyone living around Dublin who is interested in a training run over the British and Irish trial course: we will be meeting at 11:00 in Crone Wood car park on Saturday 15th August. |
Gerry Brady | Aug 15 2015, 9:40pm | Senior trial course has been amended as the earthbank at the start of the second half of the climb is higher than it used to be. The amended route is in the Maps link on the event page. A link to the British and Irish trial course map is at the bottom of the Organiser's instructions on the event page. |
Cian May | Aug 25 2015, 10:16am | Would it be alright for someone a year or so too young for the actual home international (u17) to take part in the trials without the intention of making it onto any team purely for the chance to get a youth girls only race? |
Gerry Brady | Aug 25 2015, 11:31am | Cian It is okay if she runs the trial. The under 17 race is 4 km (over 2 laps) and the climb is actually relatively tougher than the seniors. If she is tired, she could stop after the first lap so she will still be keen when she is older. On a more general note, the senior trial is open to all runners and would be good experience for anyone who wants practice at frequent changes of pace during a race. |
