Route Description:
The Dysart Dash is a beautiful 6.5km loop on wooded trail . At approx. 250m of ascent , it is suitable for both the beginner and the experienced trail runner. The Route is unchanged from last year, apart from some very slight alterations due to fallen trees on the main track. It is an anti-clockwise loop once entering the main Coillte forest. It is a fast course with some lovely climbs up Hewson Hill and moderate but steep technical descents also . This native woodland is a spectacular environment for a trail race , with beautiful views of the Rock of Dunamaise and surrounding green hills throughout sections of the route.

JUNIOR ROUTE: There will be a Junior Route , which will be approx. 3km and will be an out and back course . There will be a marshal at turnaround point. Please note U10 must be accompanied on the race route by a guardian or parent. For more information on Updated Junior runners policies, copy this link to your browser: https://www.imra.ie/forum/topic/id/5487

NOTE TO ALL RUNNERS: Due to conditions underfoot and the terrain involved , it is strongly advised to wear proper trail runners for this race .

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
