Route Description:

Route map for IMRA Lough Mohra 2025 V3 by IMRA Munster on plotaroute.com

At Harneys Cross Road Junction we enter the Glenpatrick Bridge Loop that’s race start. We head toward the Lough Mohra and Rath Beag Loop, on the way back from Lough Mohra we enter the slate quarry trail from the R678, that trail brings us out on Kearneys Road where we enter the woods at Glenpatrick bridge. We head towards Boola Bridge and finish back at Harneys Cross. We kinda follow a bit of the Glasha River course. I had to make sure we had the water element on the course. Lake and stream! Earth and water! We have trail, road, forest, open mountain, fire road, single trail, rocks, sheep, cattle grids, bridges, wood, lake, stream, muck, uphill, downhill, undulating hills. A bit for everyone.
Getting There:
Getting to Harney’s Cross. From Clonmel you can take the Mountain Road or the Tikincor Road. The Tikincor Road is steep and you will need to drive slowly. Thomas’ Bridge at Ferryhouse Complex is closed, you will have to take the back road from Kilsheehan if coming from that direction. Harney’s Cross is located between Clonmel and Rathgormack.

Parking is located at Powers the Pot Camping. E91 F782. Niall has kindly offered us parking. If you can bring 2 euro with you to throw into a bucket at gate that would be great. There are toilets in the yard here we can use. This site is 1km downhill to IMRA van (registration) so you can do a warm-up! But you’ll have to walk up after race!
Early Start:
10:30 a.m.
Organisers Instructions:
There is camping available at Powers the Pot. E91 F782. Contact Niall on 0860879855.

There is glamping available at Raven’s Rock Glamping. E91 TX48. Contact Joe. Airbnb. ravensrockglamping@gmail.com

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Current Volunteers

Please login to myIMRA to volunteer to help at this event. You should aim to volunteer at least once for every 10 events that you run.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
