Route Description:
Starting at the barrier beyond race sign-on, continue left uphill for 750m before turning right up The Ledge, a new climb for this year. 3km of fast downhill awaits after turning left at the forest road to join the previous year's route again. Pass by the entrance to Killegy Lodge and drop down left along Lemmings single track.
Hairpin left precedes the steep 300m double trail down to hairpin right before the barrier. A relatively flat 1.5km takes in the ever popular Pine Needles single track through the wood before emerging left for the fast flat forest road sprint to the furthest point of the course at Mangerton Road.
Athletes will no doubt enjoy the slower pace of the climb back up via Murphs technical single track and Mossy Farm road. Continue heading right before returning to pass Killegy Lodge and right past the marshall for the left up Bomb Holes. Just when you thought the legs couldn’t hurt more! Right and right again onto the very fast Bog Holes technical muddy down hill. Hairpin left for the speedy 600m to the finish.

Short loop will be the top 4km loop containing Ledge, Bomb and Bog Holes single tracks.

Volunteers (Non-Running)

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Current Volunteers

Please login to myIMRA to volunteer to help at this event. You should aim to volunteer at least once for every 10 events that you run.

Volunteers (Running)

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
