All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

ENTRIES OPEL UNTIL 6PM THURSDAY 22 AUGUST Registration via SI Entries https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=13823 Hosted by Mourne Runners A mountain race in the Mournes, commencing in the Happy Valley and running along the Ulster Way and Trassey Track to Slievenaglogh, Commedagh Tower, Hare’s Gap, Meelmore Tower and returning to the Happy Valley. The start of the race is at grid reference 295294 and from there along the Ulster Way and Trassey Track to the first checkpoint on the outside of the Mourne Wall at the stile on Slievenaglogh, (325290), then to Commedagh Tower (344285). The checkpoint on Commedagh will again be outside the wall and runners make their way from there to the Hare’s Gap (322288) and Meelmore Tower (307288) and return to finish at the starting point.
Prizegiving Location:
Registration and Race HQ will be in the field adjacent to the parking area at the foot of the Happy Valley, grid reference 294297. There will be a parking charge of £3 per vehicle so please car share as much as possible. Refreshments will be available after the race but please note that no cups will be provided so please bring your own. Withdrawal will be permitted up to the closing date for entries and fees will be refunded less £3 to cover expenses. If the event is cancelled for any reason refunds of entry fees will be made less £3 to cover expenses.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
