All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

Route Description:

The route is on a mixture of narrow single track, wider fire road, and open mountain. It is mostly an out and back run, first to the trig point at the summit of Moylussa and then onto Cragnamurragh. Important: The section from Moylussa to Cragnamurragh is open mountain and will be unmarked. A means of navigation will be required, this can be GPX on a watch or a map & compass. OSI 58 is recommended but this can be a photocopy of the section. See 'Maps' tab for more detail.

Getting There:
Race start at Ballycuggaran Woods . Parking at Twomilegate
Organisers Instructions:
Level C kit is for long course only Waterproof leggings will not be required This race is self-sufficient, there will be no aid station Level A kit for short course Registration will be at the upper car park Please park at the lower carpark , i.e. Twomile gate carpark, there are toilets located at the West Lake Coffee Shop. Parking at upper carpark is for first aiders and volunteers only There are some roadworks on the R494 into Ballina and also on the the R463 as you head towards Moylussa from Killaloe so please allow extra time.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
