- Route Description:
- Kilmacanogue to Long Hill on the Ballyremon commons. Starting just down from the GAA pitch on the Sugarloaf Way. Follow the waymarked trail for 3km on the northern and western sides of Sugarloaf until you reach the main trail from the carpark to the summit. Turn right and descend to the carpark. Turning right out onto the Red Lane and crossing the R755 just beyond the old Calary filling station. Following the lane through Ballyremon commons. You will do a small loop over the Long Hill and go back to the trail. Return the same route back to Sugarloaf carpark. Climb as far as the turn for the Sugarloaf Way, turn right to descend the eastern side of Sugarloaf. Now it’s nearly all down to the finish. Left at the bottom of the grassy descent, onto the new trail and follow this all the way to the finish at the GAA pitch. (This is the same finish as the Sugarload-Djouce and the Junior race routes)

- Organisers Instructions:
- As there are a number of events there will not be an early start.
Volunteers (Non-Running)
You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize
Volunteers (Running)
Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
