Well done to IMRA's Team Ireland who took part in the Celtic Challenge in Brittany, France. A sweltering day saw 1300 people entered on the 26km Trail race. The Trail while starting on a 2km road uphill, continued around the dried out lake of Geurledan. Racing mainly on single track, the winding in around the forests over rough ground was a welcome protection from the warm Sun.

Team Ireland came 2nd, as a result of some fine performances on the day. Suzanne Kenny came home 5th lady, Ian Convoy in 6th narrowly missing podium position, followed closely by team mate Eóin J. Lennon 7th. Billy Reed and Richard Nunan also having good runs on the day placed 35th and 46th. On the day it was last years winners Wales came home 1st, with the home side France arriving home in 3rd place.
