Gareth LittleJan 23 2015, 5:08pmHi all,

IMRA will be hosting a first aid course on Sunday Feb 8th at 9am at the Brokagh Centre in Laragh. The course will be run by Pat Reid and will finish up at about 4/5 pm. Tea and biscuits will be provided but please bring drinks and a packed lunch with you. Alternatively, you can get food in the local garage or the pub across the way. There will be no charge to you for this course but we would like to see people volunteer for the role of first aid in return.

We can cater for 14 people and will have a waitlist in case of cancelations. If you feel you are very up to scratch on your first aid then please do not put your name forward. We want to aim this course at people who are interested in volunteering for the role of first aid and for people that need to brush up their skills.

Please add your name below if interested.

Mick HanneyJan 23 2015, 5:51pmHi Gareth, I did my last IMRA course in 2012. Should we be looking to attend to be recertified as it where? Thanks, Mick
John CondonJan 23 2015, 7:29pmHi Mick

According to the REC website

"Remote Emergency Care certificates are valid for three years. However, we strongly recommend that you attend refresher training within two years for the following reasons:

We believe in equipping our students to actually be able to use their first aid skills in wilderness environments, rather than just to "tick a box";
People who use first aid in wilderness environments need a higher level of skill and confidence than those in urban environments where professional medical help is close at hand;
It is well demonstrated that skill retention decreases dramatically after two years unless continually refreshed."

Hello - I have just been named the head cross country and track coach at Savannah College of Art and Design ATLANTA GEORGIA CAMPUS (SCAD Atlanta). I have some tremendous scholarships available to run at our Atlanta Georgia campus for interested runners. Below is my contact information, school information and times I would need runners to be running to earn a scholarship - all the best!

Head Coach - Mike Caldwell
mikecald16@yahoo.com

Women - sub 4:55 = 1500M / sub 10:30 = 3000M / sub 17:45 5K - track

Men - sub 4:10 = 1500M / sub 9:20 = 3000M / sub 16;00 5K - track

Furthermore, you will be in one of the best cities in the United States to go to school in the most desired part of that city. Please look at our majors - we have something for most people - Click on the link below for more info - if interested, contact me by email and provide what you are planning on majoring in, PR's at various distances etc. Looking for student-athletes for the fall of 2015.
