Organisers Instructions:

Route is not as below, there is some change to avoid running on new tarmac road. Route starts as usual ( and on map). When it hits main track (new tar road) it stays on this for only about 100m before turning left to join "Blue Light" track. At aerials it continues as described to arrive at Fairy Castle from behind, thus avoiding ascending runners meeting folk coming down. The route down will be marked but is not yet finalised but will avoid the tarred road to finish, as per Winter Race near enterance gate

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
