IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS RACE IN TBE PAST YOU MUST EMAIL DETAILS OF RACES WITH SIMILAR HIGH LEVEL TRACKLESS TERRAIN THAT NEED NAVIGATION. Ultra races on trails/tracks are not approved. You must be able to handle yourself in bad conditions if the need arises, including zero visibility and wind and rain, on exposed ridgelines. All runners will be required to wear a race tracker Make sure you email race experience for approval before signing up. Please note that no refunds will be issued. Thank you. Mobile phone charged Foil blanket Whistle Map & Compass (GPS ALLOWED) Food & Drink Gloves ******************************************************************************************************************** BAD WEATHER ROUTE: If the weather is deemed too risky on the day (decided by the race director by 7:30am on the morning), the alternative route will be Coomloughra Horseshoe with entry and exit. via the zig zags to Carrauntohill. This is basically the second half of the course and leaves out the famed Big Gun ridge and we will appoint all volunteers to the Beenkearagh Ridge crossing instead.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
