Route Description:

Long Course:

Short Course

Note for Long and Short course - the route to first Peak Maulin will be different this year. It will be marked. Long course will be course - from Crone Woods - up over Maulin peak - from there - run down to the Dargle river - up Djouce - down around the shoulder and back the Wicklow way to the finish.
This year the race will follow a newer path up to Maulin from the West side.

Getting There:

Please carpool as much as possible - 3 to 4 per car if possible. Parking is very limited and other groups such as hikers use this Crone woods car park as well.

As this is an open-mountain side race - with possible changing weather conditions on the day
The mandatory kit is:
Waterproof Jacket
Whistle
Hat
Gloves
Recommended Additional Kit
- Map of the route
- Compass
There will be kit check on the day to ensure you have the required kit and that your jacket is decent level waterproof.



There will be chip timing so bring you chip for your shoe.
Race registration is opening at 09:15 and will close at 10:15.

There will be 3 courses on the day:
Early Start for the Long course will be at 10.00 am.
Long Course (main event) will start at 10.30 am. Short course race will start shortly after the long course race at 10.35. If you switch course during the race from long course to short course - you will get a DNF. This is a new rule this year.

We will mark from race start to the top of Maulin as this is a new part of the route. Rest of the route is exact same as previous years. It will not be marked

Prizegiving Location:

Prizegiving location will be at The Royal Hotel in Bray. Followed by the AGM. There will be soup and sandwiches with tea and coffee for all. There is free parking available for that in the Ravenswell Road Carpark in Bray: https://maps.app.goo.gl/dy1LG3EuUuJNKhBJ6?g_st=ic

Volunteers (Running)

Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
