All runners must bring the above items to the race. The actual kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day, depending on conditions etc., and clearly advised at Registration.

You should also have the means to carry all the kit in case required.

Failure to have the required items may lead to you being denied entry to the race, or disqualification. Random checks may be carried out.

From Kilternan, head in the direction of Enniskerry and take a left where the road forks at the Texaco garage. This takes you onto Monastery Road. Take another left immediately to get onto Ballyman Road. The entrance of the field is approximately 600m on the left and should be signposted.
(If coming from the M11, the nearest exit is Bray North and follow route: Old Connaucht Avenue, turn left for Thornhill Road, immediate right for Ballyman road).
Organisers Instructions:
YOU CANNOT TAKE PART IN THIS RACE WITHOUT MANDATORY KIT - RAIN JACKET - OFFICIAL IMRA RACE NUMBER AND TIMING CHIP.

Parking this year will be in a field belonging to a local landowner on the Ballyman Road as in previous years. The start area is approximately 2km uphill from the registration area so please allow plenty of time to get to the start. There is NO parking at the start. Registration will open at 6:00 and close at 7:15 sharp to allow for people to get to the start.

Fences may be electrified so be careful if crossing any.

All competitors, and particularly those who have not competed this year already, should READ the NEW REGISTRATION GUIDELINES.

We are NO longer accepting MONEY at races.

Online registration will close at 12 noon on the day of the race to allow us to print off the list of runners. If this is your first race this year, you will collect your number and timing chip which you KEEP for the year. Please bring confirmation of number and registration.

If you have already run this year you will or should have your number and timing chip with you. Its quite a headache for the organisers if you forget your number so PLEASE bring it.

Notice regarding early starts As the race is under 8k there is strictly no early starts, the race starts for everyone at 19:30.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
