Route Description:
The route will take the traditional earls drive route to the end of the dried out lake, Where runners will run up towards the top car park and run along a trail beside the top of the forest. They will then cut back down onto the original trail. The junior course will go from the main start down to just before the river and back.
Getting There:
From N11 at Kilmacanogue Turn right onto R755 Go through 1 roundabout 1.6 km Turn right onto R760 1.4 km Sharp left (signs for Roundwood/Glendalough) Destination will be on the right 1.6 km Djouce Woods Long Hill Car Park
Organisers Instructions:
MANDATORY SHOWERPROOF JACKET MUST BE CARRIED/WORN DURING ALL IMRA EVENTS

No jacket = no result. Bring the mandatory jacket and have it crossing the finish line.

THERE IS NO SELF-TIMING AT IMRA EVENTS

You should start the race at the specified gun-times, or choose a distance that suits your ability.

First Car Park at Djouce Woods, Old Long Hill, Co. Wicklow (Grid reference: O213 131). There is a vehicle height restriction of 1.8m to this car park. Carpooling is encouraged from the Plucks as parking will be tight. Registration from 18:15 - 19.15. A view of the route as per OpenStreetMap can be found here.
Prizegiving Location:
Pluck's (Glencormac Inn). Located just off the N11 in Kilmac.

You need to have done 2 non-running volunteer roles in a calendar year to qualify for end of year prize

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
