Route Description:
*** EARLY START *** If you are usually greater than 160% of the winning persons time at IMRA races, please avail of the early start at 10.30. The early start is ONLY for those with an estimated finishing time of greater than 160%. Contact the Race Director before setting off as everyone will go together. Kids Race 1km Kids Race all along the fire road - 10.30am Junior Route/Short Route - 5km, 225m ascent & descent. a 5km route will take place around Kilbrannish Hill. This contains some of the nicest single track, technical, steep terrain in Kilbrannish. Also, roughly only 100m of fire road!!! There will be a marshall 2.5km away and will direct runners to return the way they came. Parents please ensure to run with your children. TRAIL RUNNERS ARE A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
Getting There:
From Bunclody - Follow signs for Mt Leinster Drive along Barkers Road for 6km. The race start will be on your right handside and you will be directed up to the carpark. From Myshall - Take the L3033 towards Mt Leinster. You can take the 1st left 1km outside of Myshall, head uphill and on the bend take the right for around 2km. Veer onto the road at the next junction and then you will take a left uphill for about 2km until you see the carpark on your right hand side. Organisers Instructions:
This race has a nice mix of single track, open mountain and fire road. Please note that NO CASH ENTRIES will be accepted on race day. Payment may be made by either ENTERING ONLINE ahead of event and paying the €7/€5 entry fee or USING A RACE VOUCHER ON THE DAY. Any 2016/2017 race vouchers with races remaining can be carried forward for use in 2018. Race registration will close 6pm the day before the race to facilitate getting list of entrants over to race directors in time. As usual vouchers can be used to purchase multiple entries to facilitate registering for children, friends etc. Runners will also be responsible for their own numbers at the end of the race and will be required to keep them and bring them with them for next race. Under IMRA rules for competitor's safety, it is mandatory to bring and carry a jacket that is shower and wind proof for the entire race. Any competitor seen not carrying or wearing their jacket at any stage in the race will be disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rule! NEW IMRA MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURE FOR 2018! All competitors must be IMRA members. IMRA membership costs €10 for a calendar year. It is unrelated to membership of other athletic clubs. IMRA membership cannot be purchased at the race, you must follow these steps beforehand: Login to your "myimra" account on www.imra.ie. If you don't have an account, create one using the REGISTER FOR MYIMRA link, and follow the instructions carefully. Go to the PURCHASE IMRA PRODUCTS page and purchase 2018 membership using a credit/debit card. Bring the membership confirmation email containing your race number for the year with you to your first race Get a bib number at your first race, and hold on to it, as it's valid for the full year. Note: If you are not a 2018 IMRA member or don't know your race number, it will not be possible to enter the race

Check with race director if they have a need for people volunteering and running. Race directors need a minimum number of people available throughout the race to make the race work so non-running volunteers are preferable. While it can be helpful, volunteering in a volunteer and race capacity does not count towards qualifying for end of year prize
